VMware Cloud Developer
🌟 We have an urgent requirement for a VMware Cloud Developer to join our dynamic team in Kuwait on a 1-year contract with a major IT Vendor. 🌟
Mission:
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions using the VMware Cloud platform. vRealize Automation is a cloud automation and orchestration software that enables organizations to automate the delivery and management of infrastructure, applications, and services.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement solutions leveraging VMware cloud technologies, such as VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), VMware Cloud on AWS, VMware Cloud Director, and VMware vRealize Suite.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business needs for cloud-based solutions.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications and design cloud architectures, configurations, and automation processes.
Develop and deploy cloud solutions using VMware cloud technologies, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
Integrate VMware cloud technologies with other systems, platforms, and tools, such as infrastructure-as-code frameworks, monitoring systems, and third-party solutions.
Write automation scripts and develop workflows to streamline cloud deployment and management processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud configurations, deployments, and integrations.
Ensure compliance with industry best practices and security standards in cloud solution design and implementation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, networking, and security teams, to ensure successful implementation and operation of VMware cloud solutions.
Stay updated with the latest VMware cloud technologies, features, and enhancements, and provide recommendations for their adoption.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Strong experience in developing and implementing solutions using VMware cloud technologies, such as VMware Cloud Foundation, VMware Cloud on AWS, VMware Cloud Director, and VMware vRealize Suite.
Proficiency in cloud architecture and design principles, including cloud networking, security, and automation.
In-depth knowledge of VMware vSphere and vCenter, along with experience in deploying and managing virtualized infrastructure.
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) frameworks and tools, such as Terraform or VMware vRealize Automation, for automated cloud deployments.
Experience in integrating VMware cloud technologies with other systems and tools, such as REST APIs, PowerShell, or third-party plugins.
Strong scripting and automation skills, with proficiency in languages such as PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript.
Understanding of cloud-native technologies and concepts, including containers, microservices, and serverless computing.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and their integration with VMware cloud technologies, is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
VMware certifications, such as VCP-DCV or VCP-CMA, and cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Azure Developer Associate) are highly desirable.
